Salary: Up to £26,000

The Role:

NRG are working with the leading provider of British Sign Language (BSL) and other Deaf and Deafblind qualifications in the UK in search of a talented Marketing Coordinator to join their team.

This role is based in Durham.

Responsible for creatively helping to build brand awareness through both traditional marketing and media campaigns. The post holder will be required to support the Marketing Manager on driving the organisations communications and PR strategy to increase sector recognition.

Key Tasks:

  • Lead on the development and implementation of marketing, communication, and PR strategy to deliver effective and timely communication to key audiences. Proactively contribute to the further development of strategies using initiative and innovative thinking.

  • Lead on the creation and recording of assessment and student support materials.

  • Responsible for the editing and quality checks of assessment and student support materials.

  • Responsible of the social media channels, ensuring they achieve ongoing substantial growth, delivering agreed targets.

  • Responsible for all creative content, producing high quality and clearly written visual content to communicate effectively to all internal and external stakeholders including media, government, customers, and partners.

  • Ensure the development of the website supports the marketing strategy by providing infrastructure and overseeing the Marketing Communications Graduate work on creative content.

  • Support the Marketing Manager to develop and build trusted relationships with local, national, and international partners to ensure our voice is heard in the sector and wider media.

  • Responsible for monitoring and analysing monthly marketing activity, observing trends and sector media and customer buyer/engagement patterns (from various sources). Reporting with recommendations to the Marketing Manager.

  • Provide support on behalf of the organisation at events ensuring our reputation is managed and maximum exposure is achieved.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent.

  • Recognised marketing or media qualification.

  • Marketing, media, or PR experience in a small to medium organisation.

  • Design Experience (Adobe).

  • Video Editing and best practice.

  • Creative Content creation.

  • Web content management systems.

  • Understanding of deaf and disability issues and the issues facing providers in the not-for-profit sector.

  • Copywriting.

Requirements:

  • Post is subject to a 6-month probationary period and receipt of references satisfactory to us.

  • Employees are expected to complete the following the organisation’s courses within 2 years of commencing employment:

  • Level 1 Certificate in Developing Communication and Awareness with Deaf and Deafblind People.

  • Level 2 Certificate in British Sign Language.
