About the role
A Newcastle-based law firm with national presence are looking to add a Quality and Compliance Auditor to their Risk and Compliance team, based at their Newcastle Office. This role is offered on a Monday – Friday basis, working 37.5 hours per week.
As a Quality and Compliance Auditor, you will play a key role in the ongoing development and implementation of the firm’s internal audit function. You will have previous experience as an Auditor in a Legal/ Professional Services environment.
About the role:
• Perform internal quality audits, in line with the Risk Audit Schedule
• Formulate and maintain the annual audit schedule
• Complete and report on audits of the environmental management system, in line with ISO14001 requirements
• Support the Information Security Manager for informal information security audits
• Support the Head of Risk and Information Security Manager with preparing for the annual audit schedule
• Fee earner file reviews, and consult to make sure corrections/ issues are resolved, and create mitigation plans to address risks within timescales
About you:
• Previous audit experience in a Legal/ Professional Services environment
• ISO9001:2015 Internal Auditor or similar audit qualification
• Able to work both as part of a team and unsupervised
• Organised and able to manage and prioritise workload
• Able to present complex and sensitive issues to stakeholders
