About the role
We are delighted to be exclusively supporting our Newcastle based client in the search for a Finance Manager to join their lovely team on a permanent basis.
This role has a salary of up to £35,000, involves hybrid working and could be made into part-time.

The role:
The main purpose of the role is to provide support to the Finance Director through preparation of monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations andquarterly VAT returns in accordance with agreed timescales.
Your key duties will include:
Prepare monthly management accounts
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis, investigating and correcting errors and discrepancies
Prepare analysis of income and expenditure on a monthly basis, investigating and correcting errors and discrepancies
Prepare working papers file for all statutory external audits and answer queries arising
Prepare working papers as requested by the Finance Director for the Audit Committee
Prepare the annual service charge accounts for audit and subsequent submission to tenants
Manage the audit of grant funding claims
Line manage Finance Staff on a daily basis
Complete annual appraisals of Finance Staff
Prepare quarterly VAT return and associated reconciliations
Oversee and review monthly payroll
What you need:
Professional accounting qualification, or equivalent experience
Excellent communication skills
Ability to produce accurate management accounts to tight deadlines
Sound understanding of budgetary management and control
Understanding of the relationship between a charity and its trading subsidiary
