A Global Technical Support team in North Shields are looking for a Technical Support Specialist to provide first-class customer support across a wide range of products, responding to clients and their end-users and resolving any technical queries, issues and requests.
This role involves working night shifts from 7am to 7pm, 4 days on then 4 days off. Office based in North Shields.
The salary is £24,000 plus excellent benefits with plenty of opportunity for overtime.
Responsibilities include:
Responding to all customer requests for technical help and advise
Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
Ensuring all incidents reach a satisfactory resolution
Prioritisation of tasks to ensure that service level agreement targets are met
Monitoring network availability and uptime, and co-ordinating action where required
Ensuring all service requests are completed professionally and efficiently
About you:
Worked in a technical support environment before
Track record of delivering high level customer service
A keen interest in IT to keep ahead of the latest trends in technology
Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Windows and an understanding of TCP/IP and basic network setups
A proven track record with Remote Support (Remote Desktop/Team Viewer) and phone support
Experience with CISCO/ CCNA/ general networking and VolP would be beneficial, as well as having firewall/router knowledge.
