Are you an Accountant looking to progress your career?
We’re working exclusively with a multi-award winning national business who are looking to recruit a Systems Accountant in Newcastle.
This is an established North East business that are experiencing rapid growth and continuing success.
The Systems Accountant will be responsible for applying accounting and financial management across financial systems.
The role is 35 hours per week with hybrid working and flexible start times.
Responsibilities
Maintain the accounting systems
Develop the organisation’s finance systems to support business initiatives
Act as a key contact between Finance, IT and the business
Develop the efficiency of the finance systems
Improve the capability of the user’s procedures, systems training and ad hoc support
Add value by leveraging the potential of the finance systems in accordance with business needs
Evaluate aspects of the financial systems and produce long and short-term operational efficiencies
Successfully lead the implementation of new financial systems
Coordinate and participate in producing bespoke reports to help Finance control key parameters of the business and anticipate change in trends
About You
A fully qualified accountant holding ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualification
Highly IT literate including knowledge of ERP systems, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Fluent in all accounting basics, as well as advanced, detailed and specifically designed financial system structures
Must possess excellent communication skills and attention to detail and accuracy
