IT Lead (Remote)

About the role

We are working with a cutting edge Fintech client who are looking to bring on a hands-on IT Lead to take ownership of their infrastructure, security and internal systems. This is a pivotal role where you’ll balance strategic oversight with day-to-day execution, helping shape our clients technology foundation in a regulated fintech environment.

This is ideal for someone with strong technical depth who thrives in a build-and-operate setting and is keen to lead IT operations in a high-trust, high-impact environment.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Designing and managing secure internal systems, networks and endpoints

  • Building and maintaining VPNs, firewalls, private networking, DNS and certificate management

  • Implementing and maintaining secure user access and identity controls, including SSO and role-based permissions

  • Managing and optimising core business system, document storage, and internal tools

For this role you should have:

  • 4+ years in a senior IT engineer, sysadmin or infrastructure lead role

  • Proven experience managing secure IT environments, ideally in regulated sectors

  • Strong grasp of networking, endpoint security, access control and system hardening

  • Strong scripting skills for automation and system management

  • Experience supporting SaaS platforms and maintaining secure internal operations

  • Ability to document clearly and build scalable, repeatable IT processes

Nice to Have

  • Experience with policy-as-code or compliance automation tools

  • Familiarity with ITIL or similar service management frameworks

  • Experience supporting investment platforms, financial APIs or digital signature tools

This is a chance to lead IT at a fast-moving fintech where your input shapes how things are done from day one. You’ll work with a small, highly capable team in an environment that values technical rigour, good documentation and thoughtful security practices.

If you're looking to lead IT in a regulated setting with meaningful ownership and variety, we'd love to hear from you!
