This role has a salary of up to £42,000 and involves hybrid working and flexible start and finish times.

The role:
Sitting within the Technical Payroll Team, this role is part of a wider investment in the Payroll Team which provides a critical service. This role provides the opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to both deliver a highly effective payroll function but to help develop and embed the Payroll system to ensure that the benefits of the system are being fully utilised.
Your key duties will include:
Line manage a small team who assist in delivering the technical element of the payroll function
Focus on working with our third part systems support partner to fully review the monthly payroll process, and implement changes where required
Working in partnership with the Payroll Manager, oversee the Technical Payroll team and manage their workload
Liaise with 3rd party payroll providers for international payrolls
Be the point of contact for and subject matter expert for Payroll, payroll systems, policy and legislation
Develop and run monthly reports from the Oracle Payroll system to ensure accuracy and compliance of payments
Build and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders across the organisation and externally
What you need:
Five GCSE’s at least Grade C or level four (or equivalent) including English Language and Mathematics (or equivalent experience).
Post-16 qualification (or equivalent experience).
Educated to degree level (or equivalent experience).
Continuing professional development required to maintain professional recognition.
Professional payroll practitioner with knowledge and expertise used to contribute to the delivery and development of services, events and activities within the organisation.
Experience of implementing policy and procedures and involvement with future changes for a service area.
Knowledge and experience of ensuring compliance with regulatory and organisational policy and guidelines.
Experience of providing specialist advice and guidance to a range of customers and colleagues, including more senior colleagues.
Experience of being able to network effectively and develop strong and productive working relationships.
