About the role

As the Lead PMO you will lead the initial set-up, roll-out and on-going delivery of the organisation’s project management function. Reporting to the COO, you’ll manage a team of project support officers and work closely with other PM Development teams to set up a new project governance structure. You will then lead the deployment of the new structure and best practice to ensure all future projects adhere to this framework.
Management/Leadership
Direct line management responsibility for a team of Project Support Officers, ensuring they are working efficiently and effectively in their day-to-day operations.
Anticipate and plan for future business needs and develop strategies for maintaining and updating the relevance of team member skills and capabilities.
Development and maintenance of Issue and Risk logs that detail potential issues and risks with respective actions.
Communication and Relationships
Ensure effective communications within and between teams, be involved in and participate in meetings as requested.
Create and maintain effective stakeholder relationships across all our stakeholder groups.
Effectively engage with key audiences through active participation in events, networking and meetings.
Planning and Organisational Skills
Support the annual business planning cycle and ensure translation of strategic objectives into appropriate projects and programmes of work.
Lead the setup of and ongoing delivery of high-quality project management practice.
