Are you an experienced HGV Technician looking for a fresh challenge in a professional, well-equipped workshop environment?
My client is looking for a skilled and proactive technician to join their team to maintain and repair a modern, diverse fleet of heavy goods and commercial vehicles. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same – from diagnostics and electrical repairs to fabrication and roadside call-outs.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Carrying out scheduled servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles
Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using the latest diagnostic tools
Performing bodywork repairs, welding, and fabrication
Ensuring all vehicles meet compliance and road safety standards
Supporting junior team members and maintaining a safe, clean workshop
Attending breakdowns and off-site work when needed
Participating in a standby rota for out-of-hours cover (as required)
What they're Looking For:
Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair – essential
Proven experience with HGV servicing, diagnostics, and repair
Strong understanding of modern vehicle systems (mechanical, hydraulic, electrical)
Welding/fabrication experience preferred
Full UK driving licence required
IRTEC accreditation desirable (or willingness to achieve)
