Cyber Security Analyst

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Cyber Security Analyst to join our client’s growing team and play a vital role in safeguarding their digital environment. This is a broad, hands-on role that spans all areas of cyber operations - from incident response and vulnerability management to awareness campaigns, security tooling oversight and project delivery.

It’s a fantastic opportunity for a security professional to make a real impact within a forward-thinking, collaborative, and progressive organisation that takes security seriously and invests in modern tooling and practices.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading and supporting cyber incident management across the business, ensuring timely and effective resolution.

  • Managing and maintaining security tooling and systems - particularly across the Microsoft security stack including Defender, Sentinel, and Microsoft 365.

  • Overseeing SIEM operations, ideally using Microsoft Sentinel.

  • Supporting and promoting cyber awareness initiatives, helping users understand risks and adopt secure behaviours.

  • Conducting vulnerability management activities, including identifying, tracking and helping to fix known risks.

  • Providing input and approval for security aspects of new software and hardware requests.

  • Responding to internal security queries and providing practical guidance to improve cyber hygiene.

  • Collaborating with both internal teams and third-party providers (e.g. SOC/MSSP) to ensure alignment on threat detection and response.

  • Supporting wider cyber assurance efforts and contributing to ongoing cyber security projects.

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience in cyber incident response and general cyber operations.

  • Exposure tovulnerability management practices and tools.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Defender, Sentinel, and other Microsoft-based security tools.

  • Some experience with Windows Server, Group Policy, and Active Directory is highly beneficial.

  • A background working with or alongside an external SOC or MSSP provider.

  • A proactive, approachable communicator with the ability to simplify complex issues and influence others to adopt secure behaviours.

Interviews are moving quickly, so if this sounds like the right fit then don’t wait. Send over your CV and let’s talk.
