.NET Developer (Onsite/Remote)

About the role

We’re hiring a Mid-Level .NET Developer to take ownership of a long-standing web application and lead its modernisation for an ambitious client of ours. This is a hands-on role with the chance to shape future direction, implement upgrades, and improve day-to-day functionality for internal teams.

You’ll be stepping into a platform with a solid foundation but will give you a real opportunity for change. The application has served the business well and your role is to lead the charge on modernisation.

There’s no red tape or endless meetings - you’ll have the space and support to make decisions, suggest better ways of doing things and actually see them implemented. Early on, you’ll deliver meaningful improvements that make internal users’ lives easier. Longer term, you’ll help shape the platform’s future: modern architecture, cleaner codebase, better tech.

You won’t be a cog in a huge machine - you will be the go-to .NET developer, trusted, backed by people who understand tech and given room to grow if you want to.

The role involves:

  • Leading on maintenance, improvements and technical decisions for a .NET (C#) application

  • Rolling out quality-of-life features and applying simple best-practice security fixes

  • Evaluating the architecture and supporting long-term modernisation

  • Working closely with technical leadership to plan and deliver meaningful change

We’re looking for:

  • Circa 8 years experience

  • Strong experience with C# / .NET (Web app focus)

  • Comfortable working across front-end and back-end (Bootstrap, jQuery currently in use)

  • A practical mindset with a genuine interest in new technologies

  • Experience building or maintaining customer-facing platforms (e.g. e-commerce, marketing tools)

  • Bonus for exposure to API integrations, or responsive web design

There’s plenty of opportunity to grow into a lead role as the time passes but equally the business are happy if you want to remain hands-on. The key is that you’re ready to take ownership and help bring a dated system into the modern day.
