Events Assistant

About the role

An exciting opportunity has come up with a leading law firm. They are looking for an Events Assistant to join their marketing department.

Role

As the Events Assistant, you will support a broad range of activities including event logistics, promotional merchandise oversight and assisting in the delivery of our webinar programme. You will help orchestrate the logistics of dinners and sporting events. This role involves close collaboration with the wider marketing team to streamline marketing operations and support the department’s administrative needs.

Responsibilities

  • Organise the delivery of some of the firm's webinars

  • Assist in the preparation for conferences

  • Support the work of the team in their delivery of the busy schedule of the events

  • Provide support at in person events

  • Be the ambassador / key interface with the content team to share the in person events activities across our social media channel

  • Organise and manage logistics for attendance at dinners and sporting events

  • Handle the ordering, inventory and organisation of marketing merchandise

  • Manage credit card statement reconciliations and assist with budget coding for marketing expenditure relating to events

  • Assist in organizing team activities

  • Administrative tasks to support colleagues and the team's plans

Requirements

  • Previous marketing or business administration experience (ideal, not required)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Considerable organisational and time management skills

  • Strong attention to detail and able to balance a wide range of priorities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Self-motivated

  • Detail oriented

  • Proactive and enthusiastic about delivering positive outcomes

  • Desire to learn and develop
