Commercial Insurance Broker- Mayfair, London
As an Insurance Broker, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality insurance services to a diverse commercial client base. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining client insurance portfolios and generating new business.
The individual will be proactive in generating new business and have had experience before doing this.
This role requires a strong focus on accuracy, compliance, and client satisfaction, as well as the ability to build and nurture long-term relationships. You will also contribute to the overall success of the team by supporting operational processes and promoting best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Client Management
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients, responding to enquiries promptly, professionally, and effectively
- Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships by understanding each client’s business and insurance requirements
- Assist in the preparation, review, and renewal of insurance policies, ensuring continuous and appropriate levels of cover
- Provide informed guidance on a range of insurance products, identifying opportunities to enhance or optimise client coverage
Policy Administration
- Accurately process all aspects of policy administration, including new business, renewals, mid-term adjustments, and cancellations within agreed service levels
- Review policy documentation thoroughly to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with client needs
- Maintain detailed and up-to-date client records in line with internal procedures and regulatory requirements
Insurer Negotiation
- Liaise with insurers to obtain competitive quotations and negotiate favourable terms on behalf of clients
- Ensure that all policy terms, conditions, and premiums align with client expectations and risk profiles
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the business to ensure a seamless and consistent client experience
- Share knowledge, insights, and best practices to support continuous improvement within the team
- Provide guidance and support to junior or less experienced team members when required
Essential
- Experience using Acturis or similar insurance systems
- Previous experience in an Insurance Broker or similar role within the insurance sector (landlords, business, contractors, leisure & catering, marine & aviation, professional & liabilities, school & charities and home & personal)
- Experience using insurance platforms and client management systems
- Solid knowledge of FCA regulations, Consumer Duty obligations, and compliance requirements
- Demonstrated ability to manage accurate and compliant client and policy documentation
