Account Executive- £45k to £75k (DOE)
The opportunity
We have a brand-new opportunity for an experienced Account Executive to join our thriving broker team based in Liverpool in a rapidly growing company.
The successful Account Executive will be responsible for managing a book of business for existing clients and will develop a strong pipeline of new business in relation to various lines commercial insurance, whilst ensuring full FCA compliance.
The overall purpose of the role will be to generate revenue for the business and ensure a high-quality service is provided to all clients in accordance with their needs and requirements.
Key areas of responsibility include:
Prospecting new leads
Attending client visits and making initial contact
Completing identification of needs with prospective clients
Negotiation and presentation to insurers in order to
secure most appropriate cover for the client
Presentation of recommendations and cover to the client
Closing the sale and ensuring cover is on risk
Securing cross selling business and referrals
Monitoring own sales performance in line with targets and effectively manage the client portfolio
Ensuring all business activity fully complies with FCA regulation and company procedures
Handle any complaints in accordance with regulation, the Company’s Conduct Policy and Guide to Best Practice
Achieve and maintain a high level of customer service and always promote exceptional customer care standards
Develop and maintain a professional working relationship with all clients and ensure expert advice in all areas of business
Liaising with Account Handlers when appropriate
Ensuring accuracy, efficiency and professionalism when dealing with both clients and insurers
What we’re looking for
To be successful in the role, you must have the following skills:
Previous experience in an Account Executive role within a broker environment, looking after Commercial clients
New Business skills and a strong client reputation
Working knowledge of commercial related insurance products
Experience of working to high standards of FCA compliance
I.T. skills including use of an insurance IT system, ideally Acturis
Strong organisation skills
The ability to work to a high level of accuracy
Exemplary customer service skills with the ability to build solid relationships with clients and insurers
Regulatory and compliance awareness
Cert CII qualifications desirable
