Job Title: Senior Software Developer

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne

Salary: Up to £48,000

We’reworking alongside a leading digital agency within the UK who are looking for a Senior Software Developer. They partner with some of the most motivated organisations across the UK, designing and constructing market-leading web, mobile, and customised digital applications.

Are you a seasoned developer seeking to advance your career in a fast-paced and creative setting? Are you interested in developing cutting-edge digital projects, spanning from ecommerce to bespoke web apps, and from business-critical digital applications to mobile apps? You will assist in the technical planning and oversee the complete end-to-end delivery of digital projects within one of the five small, collaborative production teams.

Duties:

• Providing technical leadership for projects within the team

• Designing websites and apps from a technical perspective

• Developing technical documentation

• Coding

• Formulating test and launch plans

• Supporting technical learning and advancement within the team

• Conducting code reviews for junior team members

Key Requirements:

• Outstanding coding and problem-solving skills

• Proficiency in object-oriented languages such as Java, PHP and C# (or another demonstrably similar OO-centric language)

• Familiarity with frameworks such as .Net, Magento and WordPress

• Proficiency with front-end web technologies like Nginx or Apache

• Knowledge of resilient and scalable database design using mySQL or Hibernate
