About the role
We’re currently looking for a Test Analyst to join an expanding IT Team. You will work on IT software solutions which are written entirely in-house by a team of developers using various programming standards such as Microsoft C#.net through to lesser-known off-the-shelf programming languages such as Windev or Webdev.
Based in North Shields.
Reporting to the Head of IT and working within the solutions development team, you will integrate into the business and define your role as Test Analyst in order to play an important part in the successful delivery of software development projects.
You will be responsible for providing an end-to-end testing service that will include functional, non-functional, integration and regression testing – using tools that you deem fit.

Skills & Experience:
Experienced Test Analyst/QA Analyst (3 years+) particularly in applications testing
Writing test plans and test scripts
Integration testing
Regression testing
User Acceptance testing (UAT) coordination
Ability to communicate with all levels within the IT team and the wider business i.e. stakeholders
ISTQB Certification or equivalent qualification
Exposure to automated testing tools would be desirable
Role & Responsibilities:
Review the current testing methods and create a more up-to-date testing framework
Develop standardised testing plans, automation and/or scripts for repetitive build patterns i.e. projects we do that are similar in many forms to previous project builds
Advising the IT team and the business on best testing practices including implementation of testing tools and methodology that would create efficiencies such as automation tools
Mentor and train team members who get involved in testing on an ad-hoc basis
Identification, logging and then tracking of issues during testing Produce high-quality documentation and/or reporting to Head of IT as part of regular updates on project progress
