About the role
We are looking for an HR Officer to join a worldwide renowned manufacturer based in Cramlington.
This role a permanent role, based on site. Hybrid working is not available.
This will be a Generalist role for the first year to cover Maternity leave and then transition into more of a training role and focusing on more strategic tasks.
The opportunity:
This is a fantastic opportunity for an HR Officer to join a strong HR team to assist the HR Manager in managing, developing and implementing employment policies and procedures for all employees. You will also assist line manager in identifying training needs, designing and delivering training to meet those needs or recommend other solutions.
You will:
Assist the recruitment and selection of staffCoordinate internal and external training activities and keep accurate records as well as produce monthly statisticsTake accurate minutes at ER and Union meetingsEnsure policies and procedures are up to date with current legislation and that they are applied accurately and fairlyManage and maintain the T&A system and Personnel Management systemSupport the HR Manager with ad-hoc projects as requiredEnsure HR remains legally compliant with UK GDPRHave Generalist HR experience within a fast-paced environment Have experience of dealing with confidential and sensitive informationHave strong analytical skills and the ability to prioritiseHave excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with employees at all levels and be persuasive and diplomatic, yet firmHave knowledge if HR policies and procedures including employment legislationEducated to degree standard with a qualification in Human Resource Management (CIPD qualified) or equivalent experienceHow we will reward you:
