About the role
We are looking for an HR Officer to join a worldwide renowned manufacturer based in Cramlington on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave with the potential of becoming permanent.
This role is based on-site, hybrid working is not available.
The opportunity:
This is a fantastic opportunity for an HR Officer to join a strong HR team to assist the HR Manager in managing, developing and implementing employment policies and procedures for all employees. You will also assist line manager in identifying training needs, designing and delivering training to meet those needs or recommend other solutions.
You will:
Assist the recruitment and selection of staff
Coordinate internal and external training activities and keep accurate records as well as produce monthly statistics
Take accurate minutes at ER and Union meetings
Ensure policies and procedures are up to date with current legislation and that they are applied accurately and fairly
Manage and maintain the T&A system and Personnel Management system
Support the HR Manager with ad-hoc projects as required
Ensure HR remains legally compliant with UK GDPR
Have Generalist HR experience within a fast-paced environment
Have experience of dealing with confidential and sensitive information
Have strong analytical skills and the ability to prioritise
Have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with employees at all levels and be persuasive and diplomatic, yet firm
Have knowledge if HR policies and procedures including employment legislation
Educated to degree standard with a qualification in Human Resource Management (CIPD qualified) or equivalent experience
