Accounts & Billing Assistant

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Accounts & Billing Assistant to join a well-established, full-service law firm with a strong national reputation. The firm is known for providing high-quality legal services and prides itself on professionalism, teamwork, and outstanding client care.
This role sits within the finance department and will provide key support to the Financial Controller and wider management team, ensuring billing and financial processes run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Process and verify billing instructions in line with compliance standards
Generate and issue client invoices, ensuring prompt delivery and payment accuracy
Liaise with credit control to monitor outstanding balances
Provide billing and performance data for management reporting
Record supplier invoices and reconcile purchase ledgers
Assist with control account reconciliations and management accounts preparation
Support fee earners with financial insights and reporting
About You
Experience in a finance or billing environment (legal or professional services preferred)
Good working knowledge of Excel and basic accounting principles
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
Confident communicator who enjoys working as part of a team
Able to manage a busy and varied workload
