Space Information Coordinator

About the role

We’re recruiting for an exciting new role as a Space Information Coordinator within a prestigious, Durham-based University.

The Space Information Coordinator will play a pivotal role in supporting and managing space data in various formats, e.g. databases, utilisation surveys, CAD drawings and the integrated workplace management systems (IWMS) for the Estates and Facilities Directorate.

The opportunity:

The Estates and Facilities Directorate provides essential services to the University and is responsible for managing, maintaining and developing the infrastructure and building fabric of the various campuses.

You will deliver infrastructure support services to support administrative, business, teaching research and learning activities through the monitoring, planning and scheduling of PPM and reactive workloads in the IWMS.

You will also assist IWMS users to achieve operational service requirements by planning, carrying and documenting evaluations and tests to ensure stakeholder requirements are met.

You will have:

  • Good oral and written communication skills

  • Proven IT skills, including the use of Microsoft Office

  • Five GCSEs at least Grade C or level 4 including Maths and English (or equivalent experience)

  • Facilities Management-related qualification (or equivalent experience)

  • Relevant experience and knowledge of working within a Space Utilisation team (or similar function)

  • Previous experience of FM administration and a range of supporting software

  • Ability to solve problems and resolve issues, plan solutions and make pragmatic decisions

  • Experience providing advice and guidance to a range of customers and colleagues
