Risk and compliance Analyst

The Opportunity:

As a Risk and Compliance Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting our compliance function. Your expertise in KYC, AML/CDD, and sanctions, coupled with your keen attention to detail and ethical values, will contribute to maintaining our commitment to legal and regulatory standards. Your research, analytical, and communication skills will be essential in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect and analyze essential documentation for KYC/AML/CDD and sanctions.

  • Conduct CDD and screening for PEPs and sanctions.

  • Maintain records of measures applied to each client matter.

  • Address queries related to KYC, AML/CDD, and sanctions.

  • Evaluate new and existing clients, assessing business nature, ownership structure, and associated risks.

  • Gather and analyze beneficial ownership information.

  • Perform enhanced due diligence checks and escalate complex/high-risk KYC issues.

  • Investigate negative media/news findings.

  • Provide guidance to fee earners on AML and sanctions policy requirements.

  • Assist in training new employees on our processes and procedures.

  • Contribute to various projects and handle ad hoc tasks as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Significant experience and interest in KYC/AML/CDD and sanctions.

  • [2 years] of compliance experience, preferably in a related field.

  • Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Meticulous attention to detail, combined with analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of articulating complex information effectively.

  • Proficiency in IT skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Professionalism, reliability, and a supportive team-oriented mindset.

  • Strong team player with the capability to work independently.
