About the role

We are looking for Production Operators with a current FLT licence to join an international technology group based in their Wallsend, North Tyneside manufacturing facility.

Working for a leading-edge material specialist for the manufacturing and processing of high-quality materials and advanced components the Production Operator will support Process Operators and Technicians in maintaining shift-to-shift continuity and performance.

The Production Operator will hold a current FLT licence with experience of operating machines, rotating equipment and hand tools, be fully flexible to work a continuous continental shift pattern and comfortable working in a noisy and hot environment.

Adhering to Health & Safety guidelines the work is physically demanding and sometimes carried out on a high-level, safe platform and would include:

·Supply, monitoring, removal of materials and data entry following correct standard operating systems.

·Support with the removal of Ingot and re-setting of carriages during cutting.

·Support the manufacture of furnace brickwork and die preparation; use of cutting, drilling, grinding and profiling machines.

·Support the process of dismantling and re-building furnace sites.

·Maintain the cleanliness and cleaning of critical machines and areas and carry out routine checks on key equipment & processes.

·Prepare material for machining and removal of waste

·Carry out tasks relating to the processing and packing finished goods
