About the role
A well-established company based in Sunderland are looking for an MES Technician to ensure that their Manufacturing Software Applications and Infrastructure are properly configured and supported.
The opportunity
This position requires an overall understanding of production processes, and knowledge of Information Technology infrastructure, hardware, operational technologies, ERP and other software systems. You will work collaboratively with the risk and compliance department to ensure business is undertaken ethically and in compliance with applicable regulations.
This role will work in conjunction with the rest of the IT team to provide service support to end-users.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and support manufacturing software applications such as MES and ASRS.
- Work in conjunction with the MES Engineer to develop robust manufacturing software solutions and participate in Continuous Improvement projects.
- First level support to manufacturing software and hardware – monitor, troubleshoot and resolve issues relating to sequenced assembly lines to enable continuous production.
- Support the training of the manufacturing software applications key users.
- Develop and maintain databases and data systems.
- Support cross-functional teams with quality concerns in identifying root cause, developing an action plan, and driving implementation.
