About the role
Due to continued success, a large Insurance Firm are looking to recruit a Financial Accounts Assistant to work within their team on a permanent basis, this role would report to the Corporate Treasurer.
The opportunity:
This is a full-time role, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. This position offers the opportunity for hybrid and flexible working arrangements.

You will be responsible for:
Reporting the financial records for the company's Japan branch in an accurate and timely manner
Quarterly production of Branch management accounts
Contributing to the Group monthly financial close by completing all month-end tasks are completed in a timely manner
Assisting with the annual audit process
Completing monthly VAT returns and submitting to HMRC
Completing required information for FCA returns
You will be working within an experienced accounting department, providing you with the opportunity to develop your existing accounting abilities in a new setting. The culture of this team emphasises support and development. You will be joining a team of various backgrounds and ages.
Your skills will be centered around the ability to prioritise your workload, attention to detail, strong numeracy skills, professionalism and most importantly, teamwork. We are looking for a candidate with previous experience working in an accounting environment, with detailed knowledge of accounting procedures, processes and legislation. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of Microsoft Office (including excel).
