Job Title: Business & Data Analyst - 2 Year Fixed-Term Contract (FTC)

Location: Gateshead

Salary: Up to £35,000

Are you an experienced Data Analyst with experience working with various technologies and systems as well as working with extensive amounts of data? If so this might be the perfect role for you.

Due to continued success and innovation, our international client based in Team Valley is recruiting for a Data Analyst, who will be central in leading the organisation through the transformation of their strategic vision. You will lead on multiple projects including the implementation of a new ERP system, scoping out current business requirements and improving current business processes such as master data management.

The role:

The main focus of this position is to enhance the organisation’s business systems, ensuring master data integrity and helping establish a new Enterprise Resource Planning system. The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance team – outlining report scopes as well as being involved in the extraction and transformation of this data and delivering presentation of findings. The successful candidate will also be instrumental in developing a data warehouse, decision making tools and assessing projects for process improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Working alongside all stakeholders in the organisation to construct and create key metrics helping map the future direction of the organization.

  • Gathering stakeholder requirements.

  • Deciphering data and analysing results utilising statistical techniques and delivering continuous reports.

  • Utilsing various tools and techniques to present data in digestible formats including diagrams and graphs.

  • Delivering your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.

  • Performing user acceptance testing.

  • Assessing business processes, anticipating needs, discovering improvement opportunities, and developing and executing solutions.

  • Adding to project planning, budgeting and business strategy.

What we would like to see from you:

  • Competency with Power BI

  • Competency with Power Apps and Power Query

  • Ability to perform data mining and cleansing

  • Competency with Microsoft Excel

  • Experience with SQL (report writing)

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Desirable:

  • MS Dynamics and SAP experience

  • Manufacturing sector knowledge

  • Effective project management skills

Working Pattern:

Monday – Friday (08.30 – 17:00) – Flexible hours and hybrid working
