The opportunity:
The cyber risk manager position in the business will involve working hand in hand with the companies various clients. The outward facing nature of the role mean 3rd party/ stakeholder relations will be a large focus; you will take ownership of incident management overall for the clients.
You will:
Support the Director Information Security, identifying risks and contributing to compliance and best practice.
Work closely with technical and Assurance teams in the development of system security standards.
Regularly review relevant security advisories and security monitoring alerts, identifying threats and liaising with our infrastructure and support teams to agree actions to mitigate the risk.
Ensure the right tools and processes are adopted to ensure all aspects of system security are covered (Inc. design, installation, and support).
Develop, document, and maintain security procedures.
Support training and development of Operational staff.
Contribute to knowledge management – producing KBs and support material.
Work with key suppliers and partners in relation to the security services delivered.
Support and work with the Assurance team and any requirements for compliance to both partner and external security accreditations, e.g. ISO27001.
Working closely with the product and pre-sales teams on defining security requirements for new propositions or meeting large complex bid requirements for security compliance
Working closely with all areas of the business to educate and evangelise with regards to appropriate security measures in all aspects of our business
Required Experience:
Experience of working for a Managed Service Provider or equivalent environments.
Strong hands-on server and operating system knowledge.
Knowledge and experience of Cyber Security threats.
Advanced knowledge in the following areas:
Networking
Server Security
IDS
Vulnerability Scanning
Malware
Anti-virus
Experience using security tools
Experience of designing and implementing IT & Cyber security best practice for on-premise, hosted and private and public cloud solutions as well as IT systems
Experience of defining and driving improvements and Key Performance Indicators related to cyber security
