About the role
An award-winning law firm, with a notable presence in the North-East and beyond, have opened a new office in Penrith due to expansion. They are looking to appoint a Conveyancing Assistant to join their Residential Conveyancing team.
The Conveyancing Assistant will work with the Conveyancers in managing their caseloads through actioning legal procedures. You will assist with caseload management by dealing with file queries either face to face or by telephone on a timely and cost-effective basis.
About the role:
Support Conveyancers in purchases, sales, remortgages, transfers of equity files through effective file management
Ensure clients are kept up-to-date and dealt with effectively and politely, and that appropriate legal matters are raised with the Conveyancer
Attend to clients, taking instructions and conducting letters and telephone inquiries
Use correct practice procedures and systems to manage cases effectively and in accordance with the firm’s client base
Check client identification documents
About you:
Legal qualification or good standard of education
Experience working within the residential property sector or experience in a residential conveyancing role
Typing and case management skills
Experience of client care and telephone work
Competent in MS Office
