We are working alongside a Durham-based organization who are looking for an Assistant Manager to join their People Services department.
This 12-month fixed-term contract, hybrid working is available.
Salary: £29,605 - £36,024 DOE
The opportunity:
As a key member of the People Services Team, the Assistant Manager will oversee a workforce dedicated to implementing the organization’s strategy efficiently. This role is pivotal in attracting, retaining and rewarding top talent while ensuring staff development at all levels.

You will:
Demonstrate commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion, aligning with organizations values and a continuous improvement approach.
Ensure the integration of organization-wide procedures and expectations into the team's service, adapting working methods as needed.
Provide specialized advice and problem resolution for People Services activities, offering recommendations based on findings.
Investigate and resolve role-specific issues using experience and problem-solving skills.
Manage various processes, including flexible and casual engagements and fixed-term contracts, ensuring high-quality and timely service to all stakeholders.
Monitor designated systems to ensure safety, security, and compliance with internal and external regulations.
Deliver excellent stakeholder experience in all People Services activities, collecting and recording data accurately and providing relevant reports.
Implement changes or processes to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and the efficiency of HR processes and systems.
Plan and organize own workload, as well as operational activities for the team, implementing and monitoring protocols and processes.
Supervise team members, allocate and monitor work activities, contribute to performance reviews, and provide support and training where necessary. Additionally, engage in communication and liaison activities, participating in meetings, working groups, and committees, building relationships with internal and external networks, and utilizing digital media for effective communication.
