About the role
We are looking for someone with experience of working in an accountant's office to join a small friendly as an Accounts Assistant. Our client offers a low pressure, friendly environment with flexibility around your working week to meet your outside commitments.
You will work across our portfolio of clients building up a detailed knowledge of their affairs.
The role will be office based in Ponteland for the first month whilst you get to know the team, after which the option for hybrid working will be available.
Your hours can be arranged to suit your circumstances.
You will:
Prepare accounts files from client records
Perform bookkeeping for clients
Prepare VAT returns
Perform basic taxation computations
Handle with general queries from clients
Key Skills:
Basic Excel
Basic Word
Xero, VT and Sage (Preferred)
IRIS practice management (Preferred)
Experience in an accountancy practice (Required)
