2nd Line IT Support Engineer

NRG is thrilled to be partnering with a well-established and rapidly expanding MSP in their search for a skilled 2nd Line Support Engineer. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to deliver outstanding technical support to a growing customer base. Our client is experiencing a significant period of growth and is dedicated to fostering a dynamic and ambitious work environment, with a strong focus on the professional development of their team.

This role is based in Gateshead with the opportunity got hybrid working, and a salary of £29,000

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver advanced technical support to clients, addressing and resolving a wide range of issues up to second-line level, encompassing Microsoft technologies and VoIP systems.

  • Offer on-site support to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges effectively, ensuring clear communication with both internal teams and external partners.

  • Take an active role in project delivery, including the installation and configuration of servers and networks to meet client requirements.

  • Continuously provide insights and feedback to support the improvement of technical processes and service delivery.

  • Log and analyse escalated issues, ensuring comprehensive resolutions are implemented to prevent recurrence.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proficient in Office 365 administration, including user management and configuration.

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

  • Extensive experience with Windows Server administration (2016-2022).

  • Strong knowledge of Azure platform management.

  • Expertise in Active Directory for user and group management.

  • SharePoint

  • Antivirus solutions.

  • Proficient in vulnerability management and remediation strategies.

  • Strong grasp of desktop, networking, and peripheral technologies.

  • Hands-on experience with end-user hardware and printer support.

  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Windows 10 and 11 operating systems.

  • Experienced in deploying software remotely.

  • Solid understanding of VoIP systems, SIP trunks, and digital telephony solutions.

  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced technical environment in a similar role.
