About the role

A fast-growing people-focused IT company in the UK are currently looking for a Telecoms Support Engineer to join their team. The role is based out of their Gateshead Head Office however you may be required to work at customer locations throughout the UK.

​Working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:30.

About the role:

​The role will involve the day-to-day support of customer telephony installations, provisioning and setup of hosted telephony customers, and number configuration on the SBC platform.

​​Responsibilities:

• Mitel MiVoice Business Systems

• Supporting Mitel’s associated applications, including:

• NuPoint

• MiContact Centre Business

• MiCollab

• MiVoice Call Recorder

• MSL / MBG / AWC / OIG

• Number provisioning on SBC Platform

• Support of 3rd party applications including Call Logging & Call

• Recording platforms Managing system upgrades of Customer Platforms

​​Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• Experience in deploying and supporting Mitel telephony products

• Good understanding of general telecommunications technology including SIP

• A fundamental understanding of IP networks including IP addressing, DHCP & VLANs

• Excellent communication and documentation skills

• Able to work well as part of a team and individually

• Quality management – ability to look for ways to improve and promote quality.

• Must have a full, clean or near-clean UK driving licence
