About the role
NRG are working in partnership with a fast-growing Financial Services organisation, as they look to add a Part-Qualified individual to their Financial Reporting Team in an Internal Risk & Assurance role.
Joining the growing finance team, the successful candidate will be responsible for working with colleagues across the department, assisting with internal audit procedures and risk management.
With this being a new role, there will be the opportunity to develop the role, with the potential of study support in the short term being supported by an ACA-qualified team leader.

The opportunity:
Perform and assist with the full audit cycle including finance risk management, control, and reporting; helping determine internal audit scope and develop plans.
Analytical review of management accounts and financial statements to ensure accurate reporting.
Challenge the reporting team on the results presented to ensure that they are produced in accordance with accounting standards and procedures.
Help implement internal processes for existing and new projects, working with various areas of the business to leverage automation.
Review processes and procedures being followed across operations, reporting, planning and regulatory capital.
Help prepare and present reports that reflect audit’s results and document process. Documenting processes and preparing audit findings reports.
Help identify gaps and recommend risk aversion measures.
Maintain open communication with management and audit committee.
Engage in continuous knowledge development regarding sector’s rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards.
You’ll be the ideal candidate for this position if you’re:
Part-Qualified Accountant with strong technical skills.
