About the Role:
An exciting opportunity to join one of the largest organisations in the North East as part of their Payroll Team.
You will be joining a team of nine and will be responsible for the production and submission of weekly and monthly payrolls.
Do you have previous experience in payroll with good attention to detail and arithmetic skills? If so, this role could provide you with a brilliant opportunity to learn and grow in a career.
This is a hybrid role with 2 days based in the Sunderland office.
You will:
- Plan and organise workload to ensure that weekly and monthly payrolls are delivered on time, providing additional cover for absent colleagues as appropriate.
- Process weekly and monthly payrolls and associated outputs in accordance with payroll policies and procedures, and statutory regulations while ensuring all colleagues are paid accurately and on time.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of statutory HMRC regulation in order to ensure:
- Provide advice and assistance to the payroll team colleagues and stakeholders in accordance with GDPR. This includes:
- Propose changes to own & teamwork practises and procedure and implement new procedures as required by legislative, stakeholder and departmental changes.
- Process requirements for information and advice on payroll matters and provide written responses in accordance with GDPR
About you:
- Experienced in payroll administration of over 700 employees
- Ability to embrace a positive team culture
- Good communicator with excellent customer service skills
- Experienced with administration of pensions
- Ability to identify problems and make suggestions for improvements
- Experienced in processing weekly payroll
