NRG are working with a leading manufacturing company to hire a Payroll Administrator. This individual will work in collaboration with a recently hired Payroll Administrator reporting to the Senior HR Controller. They will ensure the accurate collation and preparation of payroll information.

Salary range: £25,000-£29,000

The Opportunity:
Working as a Payroll Administrator you will collate and prepare payroll information whilst also assuming responsibility for ensuring the T&A system is accurate in relation to the timely and precise input of reasons to ensure the correct payment of absence periods.
You will:
- Process all new starters and leavers including first day induction of company benefits and holiday payments
- Be a super user / Trainer for the time and attendance system – maintaining shift patterns, absence codes, creating accounts, training line manager, processing starters and leavers
- Administer all employee benefits including but not limited to, cycle to work, private healthcare and support employee queries
- Maintain a monthly payroll file for all new starters, leavers and changes
- Open and close the monthly payroll processing, ensuring monthly changes are actioned in the month of change
- Use the T&A system to ensure that all absence is processed in accordance with policy, focusing on ensuring that all sick pay is paid in accordance with individual entitlement
- Process the salary journal for multiple payrolls
- Be responsible for ensuring all salaries are in line with Minimum wage and undertaking NMW audits across the payrolls
- Process month end and RTI returns for pensioners and monthly payroll
- Be responsible for monthly payments & deductions such as first aider, uniform and cycle to work etc
- Be responsible for the processing and reporting of overtime accrual
- Deal with employee salary and payroll queries
- Be responsible for all reporting from payroll in line with HR and business requirements
- Chase managers for missing information where necessary
- Update all statutory payments as appropriate i.e. SSP, SMP, SPP, SAP
About You:
- Previous experience working in a Payroll environment
- Detailed knowledge of Payroll procedures, processes & legislation
- Detailed knowledge of Computerised Payroll System
- Accuracy & Attention to detail
- Written & Oral Communication skills
- Organisational skills
- Arithmetic skills
- Keyboard skills
- Flexibility with hours and peak periods of work is essential
