A Further Education College is looking for a Marketing Assistant to join their growing team based out of Gateshead and with hybrid working available.
The role
This role is ideal for someone with some marketing or digital experience and read to take on more responsibility in the next chapter in their career. As part of a busy marketing and communications team, you’ll get the chance to work on all aspects of marketing from digital advertising, content creation, brand management, events, print, campaigns, and web.
Responsibilities
Support the planning and delivery of a range of marketing and communications campaigns using both digital and traditional channels
Plan and develop exciting and creative content (photography & video) for social media channels, working closely with the social media officer, staff, and students
Schedule and analyse content using social media management tools and produce reports
Manage the day-to-day updates of the website using a CMS including creating new pages, uploading content, creating event pages, updating course and content pages and creating data capture forms
Manage email marketing campaigns using Mailchimp
Work with a crew of students to produce user generated content (UGC)
Write engaging copy that follows the tone of voice guidelines for a range of platforms and audiences
Support internal communication campaigns
Work with the in-house designer or external design agency to create on brand marketing resources, including printed materials
Support the planning and management of events
Be an active and helpful team member, pitching in with campaigns, events and activities that support the college beyond the scope of this role
Requirements
A team player, willing to support the business beyond the scope of their role
Keen to learn and open to coaching
Strong attention to detail and someone who enjoys being creative
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent proofreading skills
At least one year of work experience in a related role
Ideally some form of marketing, digital or social media qualification.
Preferably to have access to a car/hold a driving license
