The role:
Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager and working within the Financial Reporting team, you will be required to deal with large data sets performing variance analysis and assist with budget production, providing valued insight to help with the continued growth and development of the company.
The ideal candidate will be technically competent and diligent. You will have a data led approach and be able to report accurately on the financial performance whilst using the data to inform and develop future activity. You will be capable of prioritising and managing a busy workload.
Your key duties will include:
- Coordinating the completion of the monthly management accounts and conducting variance analysis against budget
- Assist in the production of the groups budget, working closely with the Financial Reporting Manager and Financial Director to maintain an up-to-date forecast
- Ownership of the Fixed Asset Register, ensuring accuracy of records and appropriate scheduling is conducted
- Perform Cost Centre analysis, working in conjunction with department leads reviewing spend and setting appropriate budgets
- Support the Financial Reporting Manager with annual audits, working alongside our chosen auditors to meet desired deadlines
- Working with the Financial Analyst to maintain VAT compliance and ensuring accuracy of returns
- Assist with the implementation of data controls to promote healthy data and mitigate group risks.
- Other ad hoc reporting tasks facilitating the reporting requirements of the team.
What you need:
- Part-Qualified or qualified by experience
- Big Data experience
- Excellent working knowledge of Excel and confidence using excel formulae
- Extremely diligent with high attention to detail
- The ability to work to tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organisational skills
- Use of Sage 200 (desirable)
- Use of Microsoft Dynamics (CRM)
