Logistics Coordinator

About the role

We are currently looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join a pharmaceutical company based in Morpeth. You will work a flexible day shift and receive a basic salary of £30,000.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring customer orders are fully prepared and booked for transportation with relevant documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Organise transport for all goods-out including clinical trials, samples and miscellaneous orders

  • Prepare relevant documentation for shipping, collection and customs clearance

  • Liaise with internal departments, carriers and customers to resolve any delivery problems

  • Provide import documentation for all goods imported into the UK for delivery to site

  • Optimise transport to minimize costs

  • Ensure freight invoices are checked and processed correctly

Experience:

  • Experienced in logistics operations

  • Experienced in SAP SD module

  • GMP and GDP trained

  • DGSA trained

  • Good problem-solving and communication skills

  • Highly organised with an ability to work effectively to deadlines

  • Intermediate level in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and Word
