Interim Head of Financial Operations

About the role

We are delighted to be working with a leading insurance company who is offering an exciting opportunity for an Interim Head of Financial Operations.

The role will be based in London and will involve hybrid working (minimum 8 days a month in the office).

Salary: £90,000 - £115,000 Per Annum

The role:

Reporting to the UK Finance Director, you will be accountable for the overall delivery of timely, accurate and insightful financial information to the UK FD and the wider finance community.

Key responsibilities:

  • Regular operational accounting for all UK business units

  • Responsible for balance sheet reconciliations and effective controls

  • Responsible for the smooth and timely running of the AP (accounts payable), AR (accounts receivable) for all UK businesses and transactional banking activities

  • Oversee the Group Treasury Controller, with responsibility for the UK and European Group’s banking arrangements and liquidity

  • Monitor and plan the UK company banking and liquidity arrangements, including regular cash flow forecasts and the smooth operations of payment authorisations across the UK senior management team

About you:

  • Qualified accountant with substantial post-qualification experience

  • Leadership of an operational finance function within a financial services or similar regulated business

  • Experience in growing and developing finance professionals to their maximum potential and maintaining a consistent level of performance across multiple teams

  • Experience running effective AP or AR functional teams
