Infrastructure Analyst

About the role

As a vital member of the Infrastructure Team, your role will involve overseeing the functionality and continual enhancement of the company's essential IT and communication systems. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, engage with various teams, and coordinate with suppliers as needed to establish and uphold top-tier IT systems and support services.

Key Responsibilities of the role

  • Network service management -You will provide continuous support and monitoring for the overall IT network Meeting agreed SLAs

  • Continuity Management - You will be facilitating service continuity support, Assessing risks to system availability, integrity and confidentiality

  • Information Security - responsible for implementing and maintaining IT security controls, Escalating risks or vulnerabilities when necessary

  • Cyber Essentials+ - Collaborate with IT team to ensure compliance with the Cyber Essentials + Standard

  • Change Management Following the organisation’s change management procedure for all changes to live infrastructure components, Cover requests for change (RFC) from implementation to review

  • Asset Management- Assist in managing the inventory of IT assets

  • Out-of-hours support - As part of the infrastructure “on call” team, you will provide cover and respond to alerts outside of office hours when needed

Key Attributes and skills required

  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong collaborative and independent work skills

  • Flexibility and adaptability, willingness to travel between offices and work out of hours when needed

Essential experience

  • VMWare and vCenter

  • Microsoft Server 2016 and above

  • Microsoft Exchange/Exchange Online

  • Microsoft Office 365

  • Microsoft SQL Server

  • MS Teams

  • File Servers (DFS)

  • Active Directory and Azure AD

  • DNS

  • DHCP

  • Windows 10 and above

  • Network Infrastructure (Layer 2 and 3, VLAN, WAN, LAN, VPN, Internet Links, Switch Operating Systems)

  • Backup and Replication Experience

  • MS 365 Tenant Admin

Desirable Experience

  • Hyper-V

  • Cloud Wi-Fi

  • Mimecast

  • Citrix

  • Document Management System

  • MFA

  • System Centre Operation Manager (SCOM)

  • System Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM)

  • Firewall Experience

  • Understanding of ITIL processes

  • Application Deployment
