Information Security Manager

About the role

NRG are partnering with a prestigious professional services organisation who are dedicated to making the workplace a place where everyone in the organisation can be at their best. Thanks to an order book of work that takes them through to April 2026 they are looking for a motivated and dynamic Information Security Manager to come into their established technology team. You will be responsible for managing, maintaining and optimising their current processes 

You’ll ensure these environments are stable, secure, and aligned with stakeholder needs. Being a very hands on role, this will include activities such as configuration, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance while maintaining compliance with security and operational standards. The team is also undergoing an internal transformation that will involve you defining and implementing processes from scratch! You will have your chance to leave your mark on this company as you will be involved business wide with their IT function and security practicies. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the overall IT function ensuring availability, stability, and performance.

  • Lead activities related to deployment and release management, security and compliance, monitoring, and automation.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure environments meet the needs of internal teams and external partners.

  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation within the environments management process.

Skills required for the role:

  • Experience working within complex IT environments, including development and production.

  • Working wtihin an Enterprise / Large-scale IT function

  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure

  • Extensive knowledge in IT security best practices and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS, ISO 27001).

Soft skills

  • Great communicator who can liaise with all levels of the business

  • Organised with the ability to manage multiple environments and projects effectively.

  • Proactive mindset, focused on improvement and prevention of issues.

  • Collaborative and adaptable, thriving in cross-functional teams.
