HR Coordinator

About the role

We are currently looking for an HR Coordinator to join a full-service wealth management house based in Tyne and Wear.

The opportunity:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a HR Coordinator or an HR Administrator who is working towards an Advisor role to work within an experienced and supportive HR team. This is mainly a transactional role with advisory tasks included. It is the ideal role for a driven, confident, and warm candidate who is eager to learn and develop their current skills.

You will:

  • Maintain accurate staff records in the HR System through regular updates and liaising with employees
  • Ensuring queries and requests into the HR team are acknowledged and actioned in a timely manner to a high quality
  • Manage pre-employment checks including right to work checks and references
  • Take ownership of the entire onboarding process, including (but not limited to) preparing offer letters and contracts, system set up and welcome information
  • Take ownership of the family leave process including holiday pre-family leave meetings and producing all associated documentation
  • Be responsible for the accurate processing of all starter and leaver information including exit interviews
  • Process all generalist HR documentation including changes to contracts, family leave meetings applications and flexible working requests
  • Provide frontline HR advice to managers and employees in line with best practice, policy and employment legislation
  • Support the HR team with formal cases as required including taking minutes, investigatory interviews and letter writing
  • Assist in the updating and creating of HR related policies, procedures, and forms
  • Assist with HR related projects as required
  • The successful candidate must have a working knowledge of HR issues as well as a basic understanding of employment law, and preferably have experience in providing guidance on it.
