About the role
We are currently looking for a HR Business Partner to join an established Charity based in Durham Their aim is to support Autistic individuals to participate in society as independent and valued citizens, enjoying equal rights and opportunities but also enriching the world around them.
This role is office based but some travel is required across different sites around the North East.
The opportunity:
To build strong working relationships with all service areas, the HRBP will provide a high quality, proactive service to managers and colleagues on all aspects of HR to help incorporate the values of the Society.
You will:
Work closely with Managers and Principals to annually plan HR activities, challenges and opportunities ensuring the HR advisory service is proactive and effective.
Support and advise CEO, SMT, Head of HR, Managers and Principals by providing specialist HR knowledge and skills in HR investigations, activities, and workforce planning.
Manage staff relationships, helping with queries/problems and managing expectations.
Provide advice, guidance, and support on aspects of change management, local workforce development, absence management, policies, workforce profiling, assisting with organisations vision and strategies, wellbeing initiatives, terms and conditions and pay/job evaluation issues.
Develop recruitment campaigns and workforce planning initiatives with management as well as working with other teams such as Marketing, Payroll and any other appropriate service to pro-actively analyse areas and predict opportunities or concerns relating to HR and recommend actions. Driving the business performance in relation to the organisations values and aims.
Act as a role model, working with managers and staff to propose plans and strategies to develop our core values and behaviors by demonstrating commitment to the organisations values
Assist in maintaining our Disability Confident Leader Status and encourage participation
Develop a positive culture to engage, develop and support staff to ensure positive health.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a minimum of 1-year relevant HR experience who is CIPD level 5 qualified or working towards this.
It is key that the right candidate has excellent communication, listening, influencing, and negotiating skills. Knowledge of up-to-date industry best practice and employment legislation is desirable.
How we will reward you:
Salary between £32,000 and £34,000
36 days holiday
