About the role
A leading property consultancy is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Surveying to lead their expanding team in the North East. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified professional to take on a senior leadership role in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of surveyors, ensuring delivery of RICS-compliant valuations of residential properties for purposes such as secured lending, acquisitions, disposals, and portfolio reviews.
Set departmental standards for valuation quality, market analysis, and reporting, ensuring consistency and regulatory compliance.
Strengthen and expand client relationships, delivering exceptional service and identifying opportunities for new business.
Oversee mentoring and APC guidance for junior surveyors, fostering professional development and team growth.
Drive business development and represent the consultancy at networking and industry events.
Monitor local market trends, legislation, and industry best practices to inform strategy and maintain competitive edge.
Collaborate with senior leadership to align surveying operations with broader business goals.
Requirements:
MRICS or FRICS qualified and a RICS Registered Valuer.
Proven leadership experience in residential property valuation and team management.
In-depth knowledge of valuation methodologies, compliance frameworks, and market dynamics.
Effective communicator with strong written reporting abilities and stakeholder engagement skills.
Skilled in valuation software and Microsoft Office tools.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as needed.
