About the role
Our Manufacturing client based in Sunderland have an exciting opportunity to join their finance team as a Finance Manager.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in an organisation looking to develop internal processes and reports. The role is 39 hours per week with a salary of £50,000 to £58,000 (depending upon experience).

The role:
The role requires a Finance Manager to lead the Finance team. It will involve the preparation of the financial statements, management accounts and developing the Finance team to support the business needs.
Your key duties will include:
Preparation of the monthly management accounts.
Manage a team of 4-5 people.
Prepare budgets and forecasts.
Variance analysis.
Balance sheet reconciliations.
Liaise with external and internal auditors.
Capex project spend control and analysis.
Support with tax pack preparation for outsourced provider.
Prepare statutory accounts and disclosure notes.
Approval of payroll and supplier payments.
What you need:
Hold a relevant accountancy qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
Excellent numeracy skills with proven finance experience.
Manufacturing or automotive experience is desirable.
Strong people management skills.
Ability to work efficiently, accurately, prioritise workload and be self-motivated.
Attention to detail with the ability to analyse data and present information to various levels.
Computer literate, with advanced Excel skills a must.
Calm and confident disposition to be able to handle potentially uncomfortable conversation.
