BI Product Owner 6 month Contract

6mth – £500 - £550 per day inside IR35

The Role

In this role, the primary responsibility is that of a Product Owner. However, the successful candidate will also be expected to play a pivotal role in promoting effective work practices, akin to a Scrum Master. Additionally, they will collaborate with teams to explore viable options for ensuring the sustainability of our services moving forward.

Responsibilities

• Engage with business stakeholders, managing their expectations and enhancing communication channels and demand for BI/DP products.

• Thoroughly assess and streamline the backlog within the context of existing commitments in the legacy BI program and the upcoming SAP S4 program.

• Assist the BI/DP team in crafting a compelling narrative for sharing throughout the organization.

• Evaluate the delivery process and its various components, ensuring the establishment of an efficient and proportionate delivery pipeline.

• Actively support and guide the BI/DP team in:

• Refining their work effectively (including breaking tasks down, estimating, and ensuring stories are prepared for implementation).
• Planning efficiently (committing to tasks in light of potential unforeseen incident demands).
• Executing deliveries effectively (overseeing the delivery pipeline, ensuring seamless transitions, and appropriate testing and quality assurance).
• Identifying technical debt, which may include patterns emerging from incidents, and adding improvements to the backlog.
