We are looking for a Training and Support Officer to work in their Marketing and Communications department on a six month contract.
The role will sit within the Marketing and Communications Office and report directly to the Web and Digital Content Manager.
Marketing and Communications Office responsibilities:
Marketing their programmes to and assisting with the recruitment of home and international students.
Promotion of the University to and managing engagement with multiple stakeholders and influencers locally, nationally and internationally.
Promotion of the University’s brand and proactive management of its global reputation.
The Training and Support Officer will be responsible for the design, development, implementation and evaluation of end-user training and assisting in associated end-user support across the various systems and applications within the web and digital estate.
A high degree of organisation and autonomy is required for this role, along with a creative and proactive approach to work and the ability to perform in a complex, fast-paced environment.
This role is Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, and hybrid working is available.
Role responsibilities:
Manage, organise and direct professional business and administrative service processes, activities, events and/or resources to achieve defined targets and outcomes; including but not limited to advertising, scheduling, and conducting training sessions, maintaining an updated curriculum database and training records, preparing educational aids and materials, and maintaining in-house training facilities and equipment.
Develop, implement and enforce recognised procedures and appropriate training methods to ensure quality and compliance.
Co-ordinate effort and contribute to team goals.
Provide professional guidance, training and advice to staff with the operational running of budgets, processes, data and information recording and assessment data.
Ensure projects, activities, budgets and documents comply with internal University and external regulation, policy and procedures.
Ensure accuracy by instituting recognised and routine checks, assessment criteria and techniques; notably remaining up to date on new training methods and techniques (such as gamification).
Record data and information on training curricula and attendance accurately, provide reports and distribute information to key stakeholders in the process or service.
Use a range of digital media and tools to communicate with a diverse range of key stakeholders, both verbally and in written format who may need to access information across different geographic and time zones.
