About the role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to take ownership of designing, implementing, and managing scalable data solutions on Microsoft Azure. This role is pivotal in ensuring data quality, supporting M&A data migrations, and enabling advanced analytics for business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead data migrations into the proprietary SQL database following M&A.
Design, develop, and maintain robust data architectures using Azure services.
Build and optimise ETL/ELT pipelines and data models.
Ensure data security, compliance, and quality governance.
Implement and monitor Azure-based tools such as Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics, and Data Lake.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical mentorship.
Ideal Candidate:
Passionate about data-driven decision-making with a strong eye for detail.
Skilled in Azure SQL, Python/PySpark, Azure Synapse, and data integration tools.
Experienced in designing and optimizing complex queries, data models, and pipelines.
Holds certifications such as Azure Data Engineer Associate or equivalent.
Team-oriented with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
