About the role

Are you looking for a new People opportunity that offers the chance to be involved in several exciting projects?

We are thrilled to be working with a leading hospitality business in their search for a People Partner.

The role will be based in Newcastle with hybrid working available and the chance to travel around the North East.

You will have the opportunity to work on multiple projects that revolve around developing their People offering. A key focus will be partnering with the Operations and Support teams on performance, acquisitions, employment relations issues, succession planning and career pathways. Current project opportunities will also involve pay and reward, an out-of-the-box approach to their employee handbook, policies, and processes as well as initiatives to attract and retain talent within a competitive market.

What you get to do in the role:

  • Ensure the smooth acquisition of all new sites for colleagues – operating within their TUPE framework and reviewing to make improvements.

  • Create/review their employee handbook, policies and processes ensuring legal compliance and on brand tone of voice.

  • A Pay and Reward strategy – ensuring they are working commercially and competitively.

  • Overseeing and managing end-to-end Employment Relations issues with the Operations team.

  • Coach line managers to constantly be developing their people management skills.

  • Work with the L&D manager on suitable soft skills training and induction.

  • Work with the People team on attraction, apprenticeship programmes, early careers and building a recruitment pipeline.

  • Develop internal communications and wellbeing strategy.

  • Drive performance reviews and work with the People team on talent mapping and succession planning.
