About the role
An established Charity Trust in Yorkshire are looking for an interim Management & Systems Accountant to join their team. This would be on a 9-12 month contract, that could lead to a permanent role in the future. If you are a driven candidate wit system implementation experience, then this could be the opportunity for you.
Based in Pickering and working with the Head of Finance and Assistant Financial Controller, you will develop the Trusts financial management information and help support the implementation of new functionality/improvements to the Trusts computerised finance system.
This role has a salary of circa £40,000 plus an excellent range of benefits as well as the opportunity for flexible start and finish times.

The role:
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will work with members of the finance team to review financial processes, procedures and ways of working.
Your key duties will include:
Prepare monthly management accounts and associated financial reporting.
Develop financial management information and financial reporting, including streamline reporting of the investment portfolio and supporting the development of cost models.
Oversee the implementation of the purchase to pay model within existing software (Exchequer) and support the finance team in rolling out use of the system across the Trust.
Oversight of implementation of an Amazon Corporate Account.
Oversight and implementation of virtual banking solutions across the Trust (including Petty Cash).
Work with the finance team to review processes, identifying opportunities to streamline ways of working, and supporting the implementation of any agreed changes.
Participating in team meetings, training, staff development and supervision.
Preparing information as requested by the Head of Finance / Director of Resources.
What you need:
CCAB Qualified preferred – will consider AAT Qualified/qualified by experience
5 GCSE’s including Maths and English
Proven experience on implementing computerised finance systems (ideally including a purchase to pay solution)
Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
Experience of reviewing finance systems and processes and supporting teams to implement changes that improve efficiency, effectiveness and reflect best practice
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven experience Word and Outlook
Good organisational skills
