IT Systems Technician
An exciting position has become available for a full-time IT Systems Technician based in North Shields.
The IT Systems Technician is an exciting role within the technical support department and will involve the successful applicant splitting their time between providing onsite support at a large academy, and providing remote support from the office, to a wide range of clients across various sectors.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Troubleshooting and diagnosing technical issues both onsite and remotely
Management of IT infrastructure, including AV equipment
Installing, upgrading, and repairing hardware both onsite and in our fully equipped workshop
Assisting in project work
Responding to support requests via telephone and email in a professional and timely manner
Other duties as assigned by management
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
Highly self-motivated and customer focussed
Strong windows desktop and server troubleshooting
Experience with Microsoft 365administration, primarily Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams
Experience resolving Microsoft Office application issues
Infrastructure management (understand how an entire site fit together)
Advanced networking knowledge – IPv4, VLANs, NAT, Proxy etc
Virtualisation – Hyper-V
VDI Experience – Microsoft RDS
You MUST have a full driving as well as a have your own car / van and be willing to use this for work purposes
