A leading manufacturer based in Durham have an opportunity to join their expanding HR team as HR Advisor.

About the role:

As HR Advisor you will be responsible for first line advice to line managers. This will include areas such as recruitment and onboarding and across the full range of employee relations issues including performance management, sickness absence, disciplinary and grievance. You will ensure policies are consistent and HR queries are dealt with promptly and efficiently. You will be responsible for gathering statistical information and producing reports such as absence monitoring and employee turnover.

What are we looking for:

  • Relevant and recent experience of working within a HR Advisor/HR Business Partner position including experience of providing Employee Relations advice

  • Experience of using HR software

  • IT literate including working with Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc

  • Up to date working knowledge of employment legislation

  • Experience of collating and interpreting HR reports and statistical data


  • Full time permanent position

  • 35 hours per week: Monday to Thursday 8:30 to 4.45 and Friday 8.15 to 12.15

  • 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays
